The American Legion Post 86 in Blaine, Washington, has been a cornerstone for veterans in our community for nearly a century. It’s a place where those who served can find camaraderie, support, and a sense of belonging. However, as our veterans age, many face challenges accessing the second floor of the Legion Hall, where most activities take place. The current switchback ramp, while helpful, is not always sufficient for those with limited strength or stamina. This often leads to veterans missing out on the social connections and programs that are vital to their well-being.
We are raising funds to install a lift that will provide easier access to the second floor, ensuring that all veterans, including those who are 100% disabled, can continue to enjoy the community and support the Legion offers. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in the lives of these veterans. It’s a way to honor their service and help them maintain the quality of life they deserve.
Thank you for considering a donation to this important cause. Together, we can make sure that no veteran is left behind due to mobility challenges.
